⚠️ A SIM-swap is a serious type of fraud where a scammer convinces your mobile provider to transfer your phone number to a new SIM card they control. If successful, they can intercept calls and text messages, including SMS codes used for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
While Altify cannot prevent this, you can take steps to protect yourself:
Contact your mobile provider.
Ask them to add a unique PIN or extra security questions to your account that must be provided before any changes are made.
Use an authenticator app for 2FA.
This is the best defence. Because authenticator app codes are generated on your physical device and not sent via SMS, they cannot be intercepted by a SIM-swap attack
